Listen to Your Heart

“Listen to your heart. Listen to your instincts. Listen to your inner voice. It is your true self. It will guide you to make the right choices.”― Lailah Gifty Akita, Ghanaian author

What do you love with all your heart? Love is more important for us than the air we breath. It keeps us alive. We all want to be honored, loved, and respected, whether we are six or sixty. It is critical for us, whenever we feel confused or uncertain to listen to that Guiding Force. It will never steer us wrong.

It is important to have guidance from a Higher Source, whether we call it Buddha, God, or Divine Mind.  We can rely on our hearts to point the way, when we don’t see any way out of the situation that we are in. Our hearts know the way, just like the Global Positioning System (GPS) in the finest Lexus, God knows the way from where we are to where we dream of going. And God can see further. She knows what is up ahead.

It is sometimes difficult to trust God, when our bank accounts are low, or when we are looking for a new job. When so many people seem to overlook us, or don’t acknowledge our value, or don’t seem to see us for who we really are.  Life can be so disappointing.  That is when it is especially important to turn within, get quiet, and simply listen for that still small voice, right inside of us. Our hearts are a direct pipeline to that ever flowing Source of Wisdom, which all of us can tap into.

For example, I long to be creative, work and use my life productively, using my skills and my mind in the way that I was trained to do, to inspire people and to make their lives better.

When I get really clear, my Inner Wisdom says to me, ‘you already have everything you need to be successful right now. You are already creative and resourceful. You have many people in higher places who love and respect you. All I am asking, is for you to believe in yourself, the way I believe in you. Nothing in this world can keep you from living your destiny. You are ageless, timeless. You have all the power of God right inside of you.’

How I love that lion-like voice. It has saved me from fear time and time again. That is the voice of confidence, of power. We can rely on it. It is time to throw open our hearts and our arms to a Higher Power which is right inside of us and say, “I am ready for all the good life has to offer me.”  We will be guided and protected every step of the way.  And so it is!

About LoveHeals

Some people say I make them laugh. Some people say I inspire them. I'm hoping to connect some of the things I've learned along life's road with some of the people who could use a dose of humor and inspiration.
