Time for a Change

It is that wonderful time of the year again when winter turns into spring. I used to feel it in my bones when I lived in the midwest. I would see birds carrying twigs. Somehow they knew it was a time to build their nests, for the next generation. New life was just around the corner. I could see new buds, like jonquils and crocuses, popping their heads up out of the melting snow.

We are like the seasons. Sometimes it’s time for a big change – a change of attitude, a change of job, or a change of beliefs about our own worth. Let’s make this seasonal time be a positive change for ourselves. We have springtime on our side. Spring when so many people are filled with hope for the future, shedding clothes or doing their annual spring cleaning. We can all ride on their momentum.

Let’s clear our minds and get rid of the self-doubts, the regrets, the what if’s, just like we clean our closets.  There is a new life before us. If only we will allow it. Let’s open our hearts. Let’s let the fresh air come in. Life feels so good with fresh energy, anything we dream of is possible. There is no stopping us.

I know so many good-hearted people. They are capable, they are competent, and they are creative and yet they are still waiting for some sign that its time for a change. Well, guess what? All of us are going to set the clocks ahead one hour.

Let’s set more that the clocks. Let’s set our minds. What if we symbolically used the extra hour of daylight to really pursue our dreams? The gifts of art, music, or planting gardens to share. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful gift to humanity?

About LoveHeals

Some people say I make them laugh. Some people say I inspire them. I'm hoping to connect some of the things I've learned along life's road with some of the people who could use a dose of humor and inspiration.
