Believing in Ourselves

How many times have we felt we are not creative enough for whatever our dream is? Not ready to do the work we know we are born to do. Too lame to inspire anyone with anything. When getting out of bed seems like the last thing you would ever want to do today.  Why not pull the covers around our head and stay put? Maybe the world won’t miss us today.

Then suddenly, that still small voice inside us, leads us on. That is the voice of confidence, of hope, of power. And we know that we must go on, for our dreams, for ourselves, and for our community. The creative voice of God exists in all of us. Whether we pay attention now or later, it really doesn’t matter.

However, if we pay attention now, it just might lead us to something good, something we could be proud of, like our greatest glory so far. The touching thing about human beings is, we are caught between thinking that we have enormous gifts to give and not really believing in ourselves.

In order to push pass that fear, it requires that we visualize our dreams, our own creativity, and our destiny, daily. Now is the time. If we step up to do the work of this day, God will give us ideas, strength, and power. The Power of God is beyond our wildest imaginings.

What is our work today? To be more kind, to be more loving, to show more compassion, and to be more authentic than we did the day before. All it takes is small steps in a positive direction. If we mistakenly go the wrong way, believe that someone will turn us around. It might be a friend, it might be a piece of art, it might be a stranger, it could be an ‘angel unaware’.

This is the day, despite how you feel at this moment, to really know that you are always guided, that you are good enough, creative enough, always more powerful than you think.

About LoveHeals

Some people say I make them laugh. Some people say I inspire them. I'm hoping to connect some of the things I've learned along life's road with some of the people who could use a dose of humor and inspiration.
