Letting Go of the Past

There is a timeless principle which says, the universe loves a void. That is where all new creations start. When the past is harder to let go of because the familiar seems less painful that the unknown. What I invite you to just simply breathe. Relax, step away and breathe. Because the past has a magnetic pull on you, so you have to create a strong magnetic pool in the other directions, that you want to go in.

One way I have found to do that, is to create a dream, a dream so strong that the past will have less and less effect on you. The familiar will have less of a pull on you. And then when you are truly on your way, you will gently release the past for something new. Naturally.

Until that time please don’t beat yourself up. I know it is some people’s’ tendency to beat themselves up. When you dream of empowerment, the last thing you need is to feel powerless. Please, I invite you to refrain from doing that. Simply say to yourself, ‘at least I gave it my best,’ and recount the ways in which you have become better, and really put your full focus on that. And then you will see that you are in fact growing, and growing stronger day by day.

That is all we can ever ask of our ourselves, to grow stronger day by day. When you have a dream, the dream pulls you away from the past. If you want to upgrade your life, remember to always keep focused upon a dream of the future.

When you know deep down in your soul, this is not for me, then change will come naturally. You can confidently say,”Future, here we come.”

Some people say I make them laugh. Some people say I inspire them. I'm hoping to connect some of the things I've learned along life's road with some of the people who could use a dose of humor and inspiration.
