Can You Imagine

In era of tweeting, there once was a story so beautiful that it is still remembered 2,000 later around the world. This story is handed down in families, a story that has been told though music, in over a million songs, though art galleries in the world’s most sophisticated cities like Paris, London, and Vienna. Though dances and Christmas plays.

How could one story be responsible for all this?

This Christmas story is a story of triumph and miracles.  It has the power to cause adults to reach out, give more, turn on their Christmas music, put down their guns, forgive more.  It can cause us to spend more time with friends and family, to enjoy our lives more, to go to parties, to sing Christmas songs.

If only we can remember to breathe a bit more, so that we don’t get caught up in fear. Of not having enough. Work, love, time, money, friends, or family.  Of not being good enough. If only we trusted God just a little bit more to know that we are more than enough in every area of our lives.

Then we could relax and let that love in.

It is all about love. It can cause us to share more with neighbors. Give to strangers. Smile more. Light candles. It has the power to light us from within, bring our the best in ourselves. To make us filled with hope and wonder. To remember our own innocence once again. No wonder the Christmas story is timeless.

About LoveHeals

Some people say I make them laugh. Some people say I inspire them. I'm hoping to connect some of the things I've learned along life's road with some of the people who could use a dose of humor and inspiration.
