Commitment

 

This is one of my favorite passages, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy. The chances to draw back, until you are committed there is always this moment where you can turn around and go the other way concerning all acts of initiative and creation. There is one element of truth, that ignorance which kills countless ideas and splendid plans.

That moment, one definitely commits oneself. Then, Providence moves. All sorts of things occur to help one, which would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events, issues, from the decision rising at one’s favor. All manner of unforeseen and incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could of dream would off come his way. Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.”

Whatever we want to do, we can. As Goethe reminds us, let’s be “BOLD. 

But, can we receive it? Can we allow the goodness of our success? If we can’t open our minds to it, at that moment we will find a way to sabotage it, to self-destruct. Why? Because we can’t see it happening. In order to get anyplace, success, money, love, we have to be able to see it, believe it, to receive it. We have to stop and pay attention. It is important to understand that we sometimes resist what heals us.

I encourage you today, to set the intention of something that you have been wondering about, something that you are ready to commit to. Do it authentically, detach from the outcome and let the Universe handle the details. But pay attention and follow the signs, take action and allow the Universe to guide you. You will be surprised of how the Universe is on our side, life is beautiful and It loves us. Love Life and Life will love you back. Trust it and you will see the magic of life.
